Informational or "Rush" meeting: This is the formal starting point where interested parties receive specific information about the organization and the membership process. Attendance is often mandatory.

Intake Background Screening

A background check is often a required part of the application process.

Interview(s)

Candidates may participate in one or more interviews with members of the chapter's membership committee.

Intensive Education Period

Once candidates are selected, they undergo a period of education on the organization's history, values, and traditions.

Confidentiality and Non-Hazing Agreement

Candidates are required to sign agreements affirming their understanding of the organization's strict anti-hazing policies and a commitment to confidentiality during the process.

Membership Intake Process

(MIP)

Rush: An official, publicized event that potential members must attend to be considered.
Information Session : An event where prospective members receive information and are introduced to the sorority.
Official Letter of Invitation: The process officially begins only after a prospective member receives this letter, which is a formal invitation to join.
Membership Intake Process (MIP): The formal initiation process that begins after receiving the official letter.
Is willing to go through a 6-8 week initiation process; and Is willing to travel; and Is willing to pay all required dues and fees associated with membership
